Kludahk Trail PIH Wilderness Run
July 4, 2010. Here are the photos from the inaugural PIH "Wilderness Run" on the Kludahk Trail along San Juan Ridge. There were about 20 people - 3 runners who completed 30km from Hans Roemer Meadow to WC2000 (nearly the entire length of the trail), a group of runners who went to Gilbert Lake and a group of hikers who went to Blueberry Hill and back. The weather was cool and foggy - ideal running conditions. We were treated to some views as we descended from Tent Cabin toward Port Renfrew. The trail was fantastic - like running on cushions for the first half of the 30km run - and then was challenging as we descended into creek canyons such as Gain and Sombrio. The 30km group took 6 hours - feeling like a marathon - a truly "Epic" run.
